Stuck in Strathmore

An update from Plan B………our decision to stay in Strathmore last night appears to have been wise. Although we probably could have made it to Medicine Hat before calling it a day, it would have been a dodgy and dangerous ride, so rather than gain a couple of hours on our route, we chose the safer option. We are bunked down in the Days Inn, with Plan B parked and plugged in right outside. I went out this morning and filled up the propane tanks, so the furnace could now run for days if need be……..I hope not! Snowfall so far is minimal, but there is a fair bit of drifting as the wind is absolutely howling, and man is it cold. We will go for a walk later over to Sobey’s, pick up something decent for dinner and cook it up in Plan B……..the Chinese food didn’t go down well last night. Ironic that part of the plan was to avoid staying in hotels, and here we are. Take a look at what we are sitting in right now………Strathmore is just east of Calgary before Hwy 1 heads southeast towards Medicine Hat.
