Well, its a return trip to Bear Mountain today, playing the Mountain Course, the first one built here by Jack, and it is a beauty………now the Valley Course from a couple of days ago was apparently more the work of Jack’s son Steve, while the Mountain is just pure Jack. We are playing with a couple of members who are just real nice guys and help us out with where to hit the ball on the blind shots, and the crazy sloping fairways. Really enjoyed our round. A big difference between the two courses is that there are houses all around Mountain, while there are none on the Valley. They don’t impose on the course in any way so not a big deal. The Mountain is much more playable with limited course knowledge, and you can actually putt on the greens. This is a nice resort we think, and only 20 minutes from downtown. There is a very interesting story about this development and its investors which you can Google. (Len Barry)

We knew that Finest at Sea food truck would be open for dinner, so we headed down after golf and ordered it up. Jutta, the halibut fish and chips…….Me, the ling cod……we drove it around the corner to Ogden Point and devoured everything while the joggers, walkers, skaters, riders, boarders, and ships, rolled by. Fantastic……a must go if you ever come to Victoria.

Back at Plan B we are starting to prepare for the ride back home……we leave in the morning on the 9:00am ferry, and will be in Langley early for our 1:00pm appointment at the Airstream dealer. Once they remove the carcass of the awning from the side of the trailer, we will be on our way, and depending on how long they take, we are optimistically aiming at Kamloops…….you will know when we know!
Wifi will be tough over the next few days, but will keep you in the loop somehow.
