It’s a no golf day today, and no surprise that Jutta and Sibylle are taking Monica to La Canada for yet another run through the stores. John and I will cover some ground this morning…..he on foot, and me on Wolffy, and will hook up at Las Ninas for some of their great coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Temperatures are getting a little nippy overnight, and it doesn’t truly warm up until the sun gets a little higher in the sky, but still ok in shorts on the bike. I have become somewhat of a regular at Las Ninas, and barely need to order my cafe con leche anymore…….the waitress gives me the look, and I give her the nod, and she steams one up for me. I also notice that I am getting my coffee served in a glass like the locals rather than the cup and saucer I had for the first two weeks………good either way……..they do make great coffee here in Spain.

I have decided to take John up the road to Puerto Banus to enjoy all the eye candy……..JC is a car guy and there is plenty to look at in the marina as I have previously described…….nice little Maclaren was the highlight today. Cos knows his stuff when it comes to engines, and had a pretty good idea what some of their watercraft were running below decks. This whole scene was impressive once again. Monica is on the blower telling John she has found his new winter jacket at Hugo Boss…….hmmmmmm, lucky we have a Hugo Boss store right here, about 50 yards away…….sorry meters (European)……so we toddle down there and find the same item, we think, on their rack and they size him up. One of the HB stores is making a sale today, and it will be determined by who pulls the trigger first………Monica is just too fast on the draw. It appears the ladies are winding down their shopping and knowing we are just down the road, come to join us for lunch…….creatures of habit we are, and it is back to La Habana Lounge…….ok with me…..I’ll have the seafood soup! It is just as good as our first visit, and with this late lunch thing happening, we decide tonight is a night at home in the penthouse with the local chicken from Pollo de la Mar. Just couldn’t be better.
Thanks for your continued likes on the website, and for your comments……..I do receive comments from the peanut gallery here on this end also, and If I have happened to miss something important they let me know and I throw it in the next days blog because you guys would never know the difference anyway!…….but when someone has their best round of the trip so far 87…….at one of the toughest courses……Finca Cortesin, it has to be mentioned…….nice round Jutta.
