BAD SISTERS

Did you ever watch that series on Apple TV? We loved it, and one of the underlying themes was that the sisters always went swimming together in the ocean……..I told you from previous visits that it was a thing here……..people swim daily in the ocean………year round!…….yes they do. Given that the weather here has been totally fantastic…BTW sorry to hear about the temps, rain, and lack of sun, back home (not)…….our own version of Bad Sisters who came prepared, have been going for daily dips down at the beach in front of the hotel.

Jutta has been lobbying for our whole group to take the plunge, and with Geoff “I’m going to do it” Davies onside, there was a good chance it would happen. The word was out……meet at the beach in your bathrobe at 5:00pm……….we were down early of course, recruiting some of the gang along the way who were more inclined to enjoy the sun and their novel, and reinforcing to others that yes, we were going in. What unfolded was like a scene from a movie that looked like a bunch of patients had just walked out of a sanitarium, wandering aimlessly towards the water in their hospital gowns. But we gathered for the picture, de-robed, and went for a dip………chilly?….you bet, but worth every second.
