I CAN SMELL THE GUINNESS ALREADY

Hopefully I have hugeblogsite.com working correctly and all my faithful followers are receiving this pre-trip test message. Jutta and I are off on Saturday for a return trip to the Emerald Isle……….will probably be playing a little golf, then a little more golf, and might just wind up playing some golf. In usual fashion we are already looking at filling in those scheduled sightseeing/travel days on our itinerary with more……..GOLF. Sitting here in my office perch overlooking Oslerbrook, I just watched the tee box markers being placed around the course……..no flags yet, but they can’t be far behind………if it would just stop raining for five minutes, we might get a round in before we leave. Either way, we will likely miss the course opening for the second year in a row, but not feeling terribly bad about that, knowing we have ten courses lined up in Ireland.

A couple of changes this year……….we are short one goat!…….yes, Jutta is going solo. Sister Sibby will be missed on this one and I can honestly say it won’t be the same without her……….best back seat driver…..ever………will you share that appetizer with me?………what time are we leaving?…….are we there yet?……it’s not pronounced Trolly, it’s Tralee………oh those memories are just flooding back.

I think by this point everyone knows about my Portugese/Azorian nerve/leg injury, and that will slow me down a little, but riding carts are available most places if I need some relief. I did pick up this handy shooting stick that will help take the load off when on a walking only track. My biggest fear is that the seat will fail, and I will end up with that pole up my arse.

So that’s it for now……..hopefully when I press send this will reach all y’all……..cheers, I’ll be talking at you soon.

Sounds like you and Jutta will have a great time – after your prior ‘scouting’ trip… I think our course will be too wet for you to get in a round but one never knows – take care!
