We are up early to prep for our 7:50 tee time at Wolf Creek…….there is a good chance we can get a replay round in this afternoon if they have openings…….replay round is $55……can’t resist a bargoon like that. Starbucks on the way was perfect, and the breakfast sandwich there is A1. The course was everything I remembered, and Jutta thought it was great also……..she is still kicking my ass by the way. I will just let the pictures tell the story.

We did score on the replay round, but bailed out after 9 holes as the course was backed up and it would have been a +5 hour round for sure. Cold beers back at Plan B sounded a whole lot better. I went over to the camp office which is where the showers are, and made the mistake of saying Hi to Judy……..crap, she got me again………now I know everything about how she got this job as camp manager, and in fact most of her employment history for the past 20 years.
Dinner was becoming almost a daily problem unless we were cooking at home. You would think that good restaurants would be plentiful in this little gamblin’ town, but we can’t find them. One option we tried last night but was sold out was “Worden”, but tonight we are in luck……they have a table. On the exterior, big lit up sign saying Highland Estates Hotel and Resort, but nothing feels quite right about the property……….couple of elderly ladies outside (one with a walker) having a smoke, and asked if we were going to the restaurant.

In the front doors of the……..resort………it is plain to see this is or was at one time a seniors home….the halls are lined with those handrail/bumpers, and Jutta and I just don’t know what to think. The restaurant is down the hall and we decide to do a walk by. I swear it looks like a seniors home dining room, so we walk past the door, pissing ourselves laughing. I’m not sure how we managed to turn around and walk in with a straight face, but we decided to look at the menu before making a run for it. The menu was fantastic!!! If they can actually cook half the shit that is listed here, we are in the best restaurant we have been in for a while. Our waiter has a lot of energy and likes to say”NICE” a whole lot. He has a striking resemblance to Ray Liotta in Goodfellas………not the cool Ray in the beginning of the movie, but the coked up jumpy Ray towards the end. He steers us the right way and we have a really nice meal………I did order a double bourbon rocks just in case.
The chef “Worden” his last name, came out to say hello and thanked me for coming back……..Jutta figures he does that with everyone just in case he doesn’t recognize a repeat customer……pretty smart.
